WinLune FX is a currency exchange rate reference application that displays indicative foreign exchange rates for informational and entertainment purposes only. Exchange rates are sourced from publicly available third-party data providers including open.er-api.com (with Frankfurter/ECB as a fallback) for fiat currencies, gold-api.com for precious metals, and CoinGecko for cryptocurrency prices.
The exchange rates and financial information displayed in the App are for general informational purposes only and do not constitute financial, investment, or professional advice. WinLune FX is not a licensed financial institution, broker-dealer, investment adviser, or money services business.
Rates shown may be delayed and may differ from rates offered by financial institutions, money transfer operators, or foreign exchange markets. You should not rely on information from this App to make financial decisions. Always verify rates independently and consult a qualified financial professional before conducting any currency exchange transactions.
We strive to display accurate rate data but make no representations or warranties of any kind regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any information displayed. Exchange rates fluctuate continuously; displayed values are snapshots and may be outdated. We are not liable for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in data sourced from third-party providers.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, WinLune and its affiliates, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The App does not require account registration and does not collect personally identifiable information beyond anonymous session identifiers used for usage analytics.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting of the updated Terms within the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the appropriate jurisdiction.

This Privacy Policy describes how WinLune ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the WinLune FX application (the "App") or visit our website (winlune.com). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the limited data we use.
WinLune FX does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or submit any personal information to use the App. The App is fully functional without registration of any kind.

The App stores the following data locally on your device only, using standard device storage mechanisms (UserDefaults on iOS, localStorage on web). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us:

To display current exchange rates, the App makes network requests to the following third-party services:
open.er-api.com — Fiat currency exchange rates. Free public API.api.gold-api.com — Precious metals spot prices (Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladium). Free public API.api.coingecko.com — Cryptocurrency market prices. Free public API.djgtzbuyipyhqwtlwmee.supabase.co — Anonymous usage events (see Section 6 below).These requests are made directly from your device. The third-party providers may collect standard server log data such as your IP address and request timestamp in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for the data practices of these providers.
WinLune stores only anonymous usage events (see Section 6) in a hosted database (Supabase). No personal information is transmitted to servers controlled by WinLune.
The App does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, tracking pixels, or any cross-site tracking technology. The App does not display advertisements and does not share data with advertising networks.
We collect anonymous usage data to help us understand how the App and website are used and improve our features. Specifically, we record the following events:
Each event is associated with a randomly generated session identifier (UUID) created on your device at first launch (or first website visit) and stored in local device storage. For website page views, a coarse country may be derived from your IP address or browser language; for the mobile app, your device region setting may be recorded. This data is not linked to your name, Apple ID, email address, or any other personally identifiable information. We do not use this data for advertising and do not sell it to third parties.
You may reset the session identifier by uninstalling and reinstalling the App, or by clearing your browser site data.
The App is not directed at children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the App collects no personal information from any user, this policy applies equally regardless of age.
Because the App stores data only locally on your device and transmits no personal information to our servers, the primary responsibility for data security rests with your device's security settings (device lock, encryption). We encourage you to keep your device's operating system and security features up to date.
Because we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is no personal data held by WinLune for us to provide, delete, or correct. To remove locally stored preferences and cached rate data, simply uninstall the App or clear site data in your browser.
The App may contain links to third-party websites for informational purposes. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites and encourage you to review their privacy policies independently.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
